Well, better late than never! I just wanted to remind everyone that my exhibition of paintings from Stardust is closing on Sunday (Sept. 9) so if you live in the area or are just passing through, you only have a few more days to see 35 of my original illustrations from the book. Plus Neil’s hand written manuscript and my concept sketches as well as a replica of my working space. Not to mention the giant, fairy laden tree or a life size bronze figure of Puck. All of this is located at the William King Regional Art Center in Abingdon VA.
Also, that Saturday (Sept. 8) the William King and Kim Cross of Faerie Magazine (with indispensible help from the amazing Pat Jessee) will be hosting a Fairy Market on the grounds of the museum with food and gift vendors, live music, face painting, a costume contest, book and poster signings by your truely and a special apearance by Silverbell the unicorn. Come one! Come all!
Then on the following Monday (Sept. 10) I’ll be in Asheville NC for a book signing with my great friend and brilliant writer, Charles de Lint. We’ll be at one of the best independent bookstores anywhere, Malaprops
http://www.malaprops.com/NASApp/store/IndexJsp?s=storeevents&eventId=352147
from 7 pm on. Come by and say hello, okay?
Enjoy,
Charles

Enjoyed the Stardust Festival very much…and talking with you…and the exhibit…and Abingdon in general. I think my t-shirt and especially all my Vess tattoos were a hit! =)
Thank you for the Green Man Press t-shirt…I look forward to coming back soon, hopefully for the Barter Theatre statue unveiling.
HI, I am not sure if you remember me, but I am Dr. Lavigne’s daughter, Kymberly. We met once when I was very little…you helped me pick out paints (though I’m not much of an artist but an educator now) The second time, was at a party hosted by Shawn Crookshank. I mentioned I was interested in moving to NYC and you advised me to do it while I was young. That is exactly what I did! I went to Virginia Commonwealth University for my B.F.A. then moved to NYC a year later. I have been looking for your email address, but this is the closest thing I have found. Congratulations on your success with Stardust! It was phenomenal!
Anyway, I know you are very busy with many different projects, but I have a question to ask. My dad is an avid Wizard of Oz fan (that is an understatement!). He is also a huge fan of fairy’s , comic books, and mythical creatures…therefore, he is a HUGE fan of your work 🙂 I was wondering if it were possible to commission a Wizard of OZ piece by you. I know this is most likely impossible, but I wanted to check. I have a few family members who are interested in doing a combined present for him and this would make him beyond happy!! Once again, I know that you are extremely busy and if you would not be interested, I completely understand.
Whenever you get a chance, could you email me with a response as to whether or not you are interested?
My email address is: kymberella@hotmail.com
I can also supply you with my phone number if needed. Thank you so much for your time and consideration. Also, thank you for your wonderful advice while I was in high school!

I read about your work and the exhibition in Showcase magazine. Your paintings are beautiful and I am very interested in having an exhibition at the Danville Museum. Could you contact me at artandhistory@danvillemuseum.org and let me know if this could happen. The first option would be September and October 2008.
Thanks!
I am asking for premission to caver your logo. I do a lot of carving of green men. they have become a great part of my carvings now.
I found your sight and wanted to carve this green man. I am also looking for designs of green men to carve. If you could help me appreciate very much
Thank You
